Alcohol! That’s right the legal drug that can be so difficult to talk about! We spend the evening on tailoring those conversations around helping someone to make changes in their drinking with expert advice on hand from specialist alcohol practitioners - limited places NHS protected

This is a 3hr workshop giving opportunity for staff to practice transferring a person from one seated position: 

• independently with verbal prompting
• with physical assistance using a variety of standing aids
• with an active hoist
• with a passive hoist

It is aimed at Local Back Care Links to enable them to observe and competency staff practice.

It is also aimed at staff who are struggling to practise safeley and require more in depth training

The First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR) is suitable only for those delgates who have an in date First Aid at Work qualification and it is approaching expiry.

Please only book on this course if your certificate is due to expire with 3-4 months of the date of this course.

Introduction to Online Safeguarding for practitioners and managers: This is an online module comprised of 5 online sessions (1.5 hours each) that are scheduled over 5 days and covers the following topics:

? Learning about and understanding the experiences of young people

? Young people’s understanding of online risks and online harm

? New forms and ramifications of online risks, harm and resilience

? Young people’s online identities, relationships and social hierarchies

? 10 Cs framework and tools for safeguarding young people online

? Using 10 Cs in direct work and assessing online risks and resilience ? A holistic and evidence-based approach to safeguarding young people
