It is aimed at Local Back Care Links to enable them to observe and competency staff practice.
It is also aimed at staff who are struggling to practise safeley and require more in depth training

Understanding Behaviour & Supporting Communication with people with dementia delivered by Dementia Trainer Buz Loveday
Delegates must attend Part 1 & 2 to complete the course.
This one-day course split over two consecutive days provides guidance on how to communicate with people with dementia to overcome a variety of communication difficulties and how to understand and respond appropriately to distressed behaviour
Who should attend?
Anyone with an understanding of dementia and person-centred care who is involved in the care or support of people with dementia in any setting
This course is a virtual course run via Zoom or Teams - joining instructions will be sent to via diary invite a week before the course date.

Harmful sexual behaviours (HSB) can provoke considerable anxiety in parent/carers and porfessionals. This one day course aims to demystify this whole area of work, increase awareness and empower carers and professionals to use transferable skills when manageing children and young people who present with HSB.
The training will provide professionals with a theoretical background about the development of sexual behaviour problems, and guidance on what works. It will also consider the impact on adults who are trying to manage a child or young person displaying HSB.

Having completed the Handling of People Induction programme, new staff whose role directly or indirectly involves the handling of people may attend this course to give more knowledge and experience.
