Code: PCC/20/881 FOUNDATION COURSE IN MEDICINES ADMINISTRATION & VMR – ONLINE

The Medication Training Foundation Course in Medicines Administration is available as an online module.

It teaches medicines administration as a 12-step process (based on our years of research as a company into why medication errors occur). This ensures medicines are given in a safe and systematic way, thereby reducing the risk of mistakes made through complacency. Delegates will also complete a Virtual Medicines Round module that tests a person’s competence at selecting the correct medicine.

Code: PCC/20/358 Mental Capacity Act Refresher: Learning Lessons from Court of Protection Cases (Virtual Online)

Course Outline: Mental Capacity Act Refresher: Learning Lessons from Court of Protection Cases

This is a one-day course is split into part 1 on the 4th September  & part 2 on the 7th September enables you to  refresh your knowledge on the Mental Capacity Act

Mental Capacity Act cases go to the Court of Protection either where there is conflict amongst the people involved, and/or where the issue is so serious or complicated that it cannot be resolved through meetings and negotiation. The rulings of the Court, and the reasons for those rulings, can be invaluable in helping health & social care practitioners deal with similar issues in their own practice. So this session will look at a range of cases which have been considered by the Court of Protection, to see what lessons can be learnt for our everyday practice.

Who should attend?
Anyone who works in a health and/or social care setting (eg hospitals, social work teams, residential or community care, GP surgeries etc). Participants should already be familiar with the Mental Capacity Act and the Code of Practice, because this is not an awareness session.

Delegates must attend parts 1 & 2 to complete the course.
