This course will provide a three year qualification in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) for staff who are either coming to the end of their existing EFAW qualification or for staff who do not have a EFAW qualification and require it for their job role.Essential Information

This is an eight module leadership induction programme for PCC, Gosport Borough Council and CCG staff new to line management. The programme's purpose is to develop the skills and knowledge new managers need to lead teams, to develop and motivate people, to manage performance and lead change.
The programme is intended to create a learning community of new managers that will hopefully continue post-programme.
Please note that the programme prioritises learners in a line management role, though there is some capacity for those aspiring to management.
The 8 modules are:
Each module finishes with a planning session where learners will identify actions to implement in the workplace.
In addition to the eight modules, learners will have the opportunity to participate in action learning sets and collaborate with fellow learners on research projects. The course leader will also be available to meet with each learner during the programme to provide tutorial support on request.
Action learning sets provide learners with the opportunity for reflective practice between modules. Participants will discuss and coach each other on the challenges of learning in the role and implementing new leadership practices. Each session lasts 2 hours and are arranged for:
28th April, 4th June, 23rd September, 3rd November and 26th November.
The research projects use the wiki tool on the Portsmouth Manager Essentials Forum and the topics of research are:
Learners will share their findings in the form of small sessions on the later modules of the programme.
Learners will also be encouraged to identify and achieve marginal gains to their own and their team's performance which will be reviewed during and at the end of the programme.Essential Information
