Course Outline
A 1½ hour training session will give learners an overall understanding of how Infection Control and Prevention applies to day-to-day work settings
Who should attend?
Domiciliary Care staff working in provider services.
What can I expect?
An interactive session with small numbers of learners. You will be encouraged to ask question and raise issues which are important for your job. Virtual training is relatively new, hopefully, you will find it informative and enjoyable.
This is a virtual course run via Microsoft Teams - joining instructions will be sent by a diary invite a week before the course date. Full instructions on how to use the Teams App will also be provided.
Learning outcomes
•Describe the main ways an infection can get into the body
•Demonstrate effective hand hygiene
•List common types of personal protective clothing, equipment and procedures and how and when to use them
•Be able to work with a client and family in a way that promotes infection control for everybody
