Training objectives

The above aim to enhance parents and carers digital parenting skills with a focus on early identification of risks, promoting digital resilience and
achieving digital well-being in a developmentally appropriate manner. This also offers a practical approach to working with trauma and supporting
young people’s positive development.Although parental supervision plays a significant role in safeguarding young people, and although research indicates that most parents are concerned about the impact of digital technologies and online risks in their children’s lives, most parents feel that they do not have good enough understanding of social media and the knowledge, skills and experience to systematically identity online risks and adequately safeguard young people.
